Tushan Temple (涂山寺), founded during the Western Han Dynasty on Nanshan Mountain, is not only a revered Buddhist site but also a symbol of the harmonious coexistence of Taoism and Buddhism. Getting to Tushan Temple
Route 1: Take the light rail to Shangxinjie Station (上新街站), exit at Exit 4, and follow the Qing Shui Creek Trail uphill. Continue through the Caribbean World Theme Park to reach Tushan Temple (approximately 1 hour walk).
Route 2: From Shangxinjie Light Rail Station (上新街站), take the 346 bus and walk to Tushan Temple.
Route 3: For those driving, you can use navigation to reach Tushan Temple directly, where parking is available.
Ticket Prices & Services at Tushan Temple
Entrance Fee: ¥5 per person
Lucky Charms: ¥10 each
Tea Service: ¥5 per person (unlimited refills). You may bring your own snacks and fruits, or purchase items from the temple’s small shop. It is recommended to arrive early as seating fills up quickly. Tea service is available until 5:00 PM when the staff begins collecting tea sets.
Vegetarian Meal: Tushan Temple is famous for its vegetarian meals, costing ¥15 per person. The meal includes tofu and various vegetarian dishes, served between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. Please note that vegetarian meals are not available on weekends – plan to visit on weekdays if you’d like to enjoy this traditional offering.
